WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS?
To begin your application, you will need to fill out a Pre-Application form and schedule an advising session with a staff member from the Office of Global & Off Campus Education. You must complete these steps before you are able to submit an application.

IS FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE?
Yes! Follow this link for information on Bucknell Financial Aid as well as providers offer scholarships and aid as part of their programs too.
WHEN IS THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE?
First-year students who wish to study abroad their sophomore year may begin applying during their first semester and must complete a Pre-Application form before the fall application deadline.

Sophomore students who wish to study abroad during their junior year or fall of senior year may begin applying in the fall of their sophomore year.
AM I ELIGIBLE TO STUDY ABROAD?
Semester Study Abroad Eligibility Requirements:
Have completed the full semester on campus prior to your semester abroad
Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 (fall) or 3.0 (spring)
Have a history of good conduct with the University
All conduct violation records will be evaluated by the Office of Global & Off-campus Education.
**Students who do not meet the GPA requirements for off-campus study may consider studying abroad during the summer.
WILL I HAVE A STUDY ABROAD ADVISOR?
Yes, all students who plan to study abroad are assigned and required to meet with their academic adviser and their global education adviser throughout the application process.
WHEN DO I MEET WITH MY GLOBAL EDUCATION ADVISOR?
Students interested in studying abroad will need to meet with their study abroad advisor during the advising period depending on the term they wish to study abroad in order to begin a study abroad application.
Fall 2021: Oct. 1, 2020 - Feb. 25, 2021
Spring 2022: March 1, 2021 - Sept. 16, 2021
Fall 2022/Full Year Term 2022 - 2023: Oct. 7, 2021 - Jan. 30, 2022
Short-Term/Summer 2022: Aug. 26, 2021 - April 1, 2022
WHAT CLASSES CAN I TAKE ABROAD THAT I CAN GET CREDIT FOR?
These previously approved course lists can help students understand the kinds of courses that have been approved historically and match those with the courses offered by your program.
HOW DO I TRANSFER CREDIT FOR THE COURSES I TAKE ABROAD?
Prior to departure students will complete the Transfer of Credit Form, which will guide them through the course approval process and explain how to receive credit for major, minor and University requirements.
