Bucknell-In Programs
"Bucknell In" programs are off-campus study programs created, organized and led by Bucknell to complement students' Bucknell experience. Offered year-round and typically limited to 10–15 students, these programs offer Bucknell courses in a variety of disciplines and locations around the world, merging the abroad experience with the Bucknell curriculum.

The course offered for this program is called, Transformations of Identities: The Arab Minority in Israel (ARBC 220). This course aims to explore the undergoing cultural, linguistic, religious and political changes and impact on the identity of the Arab minority in Israel. As part of the program, students will explore historic, religious and touristic sites in the Galilee, Nazareth, Haifa, Acre, Jaffa, Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem. This program offers a great opportunity to explore the beautiful Arab culture, taste delicious local food, and experience the fusion between past and present. Walk the historic streets of Nazareth, Jerusalem and Acre, hike the beautiful mountains in the Galilee and stroll on a Mediterranean beach in Haifa.
The class will meet twice per week on Mondays and Fridays--a total of four hours per week. On Mondays the class will discuss course readings while on Fridays the class will discuss students' reflections on the talks of the week, community service and field trips. Attendance is mandatory at all class meetings, talks and field trips unless excused by illness.
This course counts toward the major and minor in Arabic Studies.
The course also counts towards the CCCs, the Service Learning (SL) designation and satisfies Global Connections (GBCC)
Excursions:
During each week, there will be three to four field trips and one to two lectures by guest speakers.

Housing/ Meals: ​
Students will stay in one of the hotels in downtown Nazareth. Accommodation will be double-room occupancy (two persons per room) and includes half-board (a two-meal plan).
Internship/ Volunteer/ Research opportunities:
Students will be engaged in community service in local schools or non-profit organizations.
